Mobiletribe blog is a business oriented blog about the mobile internet and applications markets. Per-Fredrik Hagermark, based in Luxembourg and an entrepreneur, has been active in the mobile telecoms and Internet industries since 1994, and since 2001 has been solely focusing on mobile internet and services in various roles.

Currently the driving force behind two start-ups in the mobile space – Acemob and Souldate – this blog is where Per-Fredrik shares his thoughts and experiences, and also a place to start conversations by instigating interesting thoughts and questions for the readers.

Experience

Among other things I have achieved the following:

• Project managed the set-up of two fixed telephony green-fieldoperations in Europe in parallel in a 3-month time frame from start tocompleted pre-launch phase. Impact: Significant value in high speed to market.

• Refocused customer list and sales efforts at mobile entertainment company. Impact: Doubling sales and profits in 18 months.

• I was part of small management team that took company through full turn-around and chapter 11 situation. Impact: The company is now the market leader for mobile entertainment in the Nordic markets and also kept all customers despite crisis.

• Negotiated joint venture and as CEO managed US JV for Swedish web consulting company from scratch in San Francisco servicing clients like Netscape, Cornerstone and Mplayer. I invested in this business personally. Impact: The US operation part of larger transaction where the leading US web consultant acquired all interests in the US and Europe.

• Specified and managed deployment in EMEA of B2B e-commerce system for major distributor of mobile phones and accessories. Impact: Significant decrease in transaction costs for each new order. The system has since been made global best practice.
